Well, we all know that Mr. Kapil Dev/Kapil Dev Ramlal Nikhanj who is a former Indian cricketer is now coming up with something interesting called Ek Nayi League (A new league) but he has still not revealed what this #EkNayiLeague is all about.
Mr.Kapil Dev have been uploading interesting videos on twitter to tease the most famous cricketers (like Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh ) and other famous personalities (like Sania Mirza and Bittu Kapil Sharma ) dropping hints about his new league like your heart isn't enough to win this league; it'll take more than that and Dil se khela toh aapki toh googly and Dil se khela toh aap hit wicket.
Before I share what I think this new league is all about, I'd like to give a brief Introduction of Kapil Dev.
About Kapil Dev
- Kapil Dev Ramlal Nikhanj was born on 6 January 1959 and is better known as Kapil Dev. He is a former Indian cricketer.
- He captained the Indian cricket team which won the 1983 Cricket World Cup.
- Named by Wisden as the Indian Cricketer of the Century in 2002, Kapil Dev is one of the greatest all-rounders of all time.
- Kapil was a right-arm pace bowler noted for his graceful action and potent out-swinger, and was India's main strike bowler for most of his career and his fastest ball being 155 kmph.
- He was also India's national cricket coach for 10 months between October 1999 and August 2000.
What is a league?
There are several definitions of league but now that we are talking about sports here, it can be defined as "a group of sports clubs which play each other over a period for a championship."What I think #EkNayiLeague is all about
We all have heard about leagues like IPL ( Indian Premier League) which is currently known as Pepsi Indian Premier League (for sponsorship reasons). It is an annual Indian Twenty-20 cricket tournament, founded in 2008 by the BCCI which consists of number of teams which are named after Indian cities and are owned by franchises. It is held in India, between April and June.
Whatever it is, I'm hoping it'll be interesting. It ought to be good now that Mr. Kapil Dev is a part of it. :-P
